Thanks - too - to the parents for all of your behind the scenes work.

The Fifth Grade held their 8th Annual Fifty States Fair on May 13th in the Holly Hill Academy Cafeteria. Once again the students outdid themselves. The Fifty States fair is the culmination of months of hard work. The students receive their states in January and then the fun begins.

They have to write a research paper, create a show board, and collect items for their Tourist Booths. It is the highlight of the school year for the Fifth Grade. This year we had a Cowboy representing the state of Texas, a Las Vegas Showgirl from Nevada, and even a jockey from the state of Kentucky. Food is always a big thing at the Fifty States Fair.

And this year was no exception. We had tasty chili from West Virginia, a delicious brisket from Texas, beignets from Louisiana, and fabulous bar- b-q from the state of Tennessee. Thanks to all of the students for their hard work and tremendous efforts to make this year's Fifty States Fair a huge success.
