Holly Hill Academy
will be participating in the Talent Identification Program (TIP) conducted by Duke University
for the twenty-fourth year. The aim of the TIP Program is to identify students
with exceptional ability in certain areas and to provide information and
educational options that may be beneficial to them.
While your student may have outstanding grades and potential, there are set
guidelines which solely determine who can participate. A student must score at the 95th
percentile or above on specific subtests
of the Stanford Achievement Test or
the Otis-Lennon
School Ability Test (OLSAT) to be
eligible. Not being eligible for
this program in no way undermines a student’s grades, ability, present or future
performance.
Upon checking each student’s file, we are pleased to announce that the following
students will be eligible to participate in the program if he or she desires:
Matthew Newton
Katie Maharrey
Stewart Bull Ben Brunson
Our congratulations to these students!
