Elementary Teacher

Holly Hill Academy is looking for a full-time dedicated Elementary Teacher to become a part of our elementary team. This position will require someone who is flexible with lower school students and can communicate well with parents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in school activities;

  • Maintain accurate student attendance;

  • Assist students with learning activities;

  • Take part in professional development activities;

  • Maintain current lesson plans.

  • Able and willing to teach every subject

PE Teacher
  • Bachelor’s degree or above. 

  • Meets and instructs assigned classes

  • Plans a physical education program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students

  • Establishes clear objectives for all classroom activities and communicates these objectives to students.

  • Employs a variety of instructional techniques consistent with the physical limitations and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved

  • Utilizes effective classroom management strategies

  • Takes all the necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities

  • Maintains accurate, complete and correct records 

  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Custodian
  • Performs various custodial duties, which include, but are not limited to: cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, cleaning lounge areas, polishing water fountains, cleaning windows and other glass surfaces, cleaning base boards, dusting  surfaces, removing trash, sweeping and mopping floors, scrubbing/polishing floors, vacuuming/spot cleaning/shampooing carpets, etc.

  • Cleans walkways, etc.

  • Stocks restrooms with supplies.

  • Checks to see if lights are working; performs light building maintenance as required, such as replacing light bulbs, painting various surfaces, performing minor repairs of equipment, etc.

  • Maintains security of locked doors and windows.

  • May oversee detention students in the performance of custodial tasks.

  • Performs all work in compliance with school policies, procedures and standards of cleanliness, quality and safety.

  • Requests necessary tools, materials and supplies.

  • Receives and responds to inquiries, requests for assistance and complaints from teachers

  • Attends training as required to enhance job knowledge and skills.

  • Performs small repair work.

  • Maintains accurate and complete records of work performed.

  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.
